Thank you for taking time to read this:
I started creating art from a need to deal with constant pain, anxiety, and episodes of depression. I have found it helpful to create art to calm my mind, body, and soul.
Not the kind of art that people go crazy over, but “survival art”.
When I do that, I exist in a place without judgement which helps me make sense of the world.
I wanted to take all the old drum sticks, drums heads, and any other items that would be thrown away from my music gigs, and try to make some sense of it all.
I am and will always be a drummer. Drumming saves my life every day. I try to bring that message to the kids, adults, companies, and organizations that I work with every day.
What you see in this art, is my heart and soul attempting to make sense of the world around me. Everyone needs an outlet. Everyone needs to make sense of the world in which they live.
This is the reason I play drums. To share my passion for rhythm, create art from my heart and try to help each person who may be struggling.
It’s important to note that my personal situation and struggles are no where near what others have. I’m simply trying to be an inspiration and a ray of hope for anyone going through anything at anytime that appear to be too much to handle. Play your drum as if no one is listening. Create your art as if no one is watching.
With Love and Respect,
